Preserving Somali heritage while building bridges of understanding and cooperation across all communities in Ohio since 2015.
The Somalia Culture Centre of Ohio (SCCO) is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to serving the Somali community and the broader Ohio population. We provide cultural preservation, educational programs, social services, and advocacy for Somali families while promoting cross-cultural dialogue and understanding.
Based in Columbus, Ohio — home to one of the largest Somali communities in the United States — SCCO serves as a cultural hub, resource center, and gathering place for thousands of community members across the state.
To preserve, promote, and celebrate Somali culture and heritage while empowering Somali families in Ohio through education, social services, and community engagement. We strive to build a bridge of understanding between Somali and American cultures, fostering mutual respect and cooperation.
A vibrant Ohio where Somali heritage is celebrated, Somali families are empowered, and all communities live together in mutual understanding, respect, and shared prosperity. We envision a future where cultural diversity is recognized as Ohio's greatest strength.
